Please read this Policy together with our Terms of Use. By using the App, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who We Are
1.1 Provider Statement
FreeSpace is provided by a formal enterprise organization.

2. Our Privacy Approach (Summary)
- 2.1 FreeSpace core cleaning, scanning, compressing, and file-management features run locally on your device.
- 2.2 No mandatory account registration is required to use main functions of the App.
- 2.3 We do not operate cloud account systems to store your local photo library or files on our servers for core features.
- 2.4 All in-app purchases are processed by Apple via the App Store; we never collect your full payment card number.
3. Information We Process
Depending on your usage and granted permissions, we may process the following categories of information:
3.1 Information processed locally on your device
- (a) Photos and videos in your Photo Library — used for scanning duplicates, large media, compression, deletion preview and related storage optimization functions.
- (b) Selected files & folders (via system file picker): file names, sizes, formats and content required for cleaning/compression operations you manually confirm.
- (c) Temporary cache files generated by the App for compression export, in-app recycle bin and local preview, which will be cleared automatically after use.
3.2 Device Permissions & Related Data
Permissions are only accessed when you manually authorize them, and you can revoke access anytime in iOS Settings.
- (a) Photos / Videos Library: Identify duplicate media, compress videos, clean screenshots, save edited files locally.
- (b) Local File/Storage access: Scan large downloads, organize local documents, compress or delete files selected by users.
- (c) App Tracking Transparency: Request authorization before accessing advertising ID for data statistics, only if you agree to tracking in system pop-up.
Notice: This App does not request Contacts permission for core features; we do not integrate Google Sign-In or Gmail API.
3.3 Automatically collected technical data
For App stability & crash optimization, limited anonymous technical data may be processed locally:
- (a) Device model & iOS version;
- (b) Current App build version;
- (c) Anonymous crash logs & error diagnostic records (processed by Apple platform);
- (d) Local subscription entitlement status (no full payment data stored).
3.4 Data we never collect in core features
- (a) Contents of your personal email inbox;
- (b) Address book contact information;
- (c) Precise GPS location tracking;
- (d) Government identity documents & ID numbers;
- (e) Complete credit/debit card payment information.
4. How We Use Information
All collected data is only used for the following legitimate purposes:
- 4.1 Deliver core App functions: media scan, compression, storage cleaning, purchase restore, storage analysis display;
- 4.2 Maintain App stability, security and normal operation;
- 4.3 Save local user preferences and subscription activation status;
- 4.4 Reply to your support emails and solve user feedback;
- 4.5 Comply with legal requirements, enforce user agreements and protect user safety.
Important Commitment: We will never sell your personal information. We will not use your photos/files to build advertising user profiles. The App will not delete or modify your media without your explicit manual confirmation.
5. On-Device Processing and Storage
- 5.1 All photo duplicate analysis and file compression calculations run fully on your mobile device, no raw media uploaded to cloud servers.
- 5.2 Temporary cache files are stored inside App sandbox and auto-cleared after task completion.
- 5.3 Files sent to in-app trash bin stay local until you permanently delete them or the auto-expire rule takes effect.
- 5.4 Uninstalling the App will clear all local App data (media stored in Apple native Photos/Files app will not be deleted).
6. Subscriptions and Apple App Store
- 6.1 All subscription & in-app payment transactions are fully handled by Apple official platform.
- 6.2 Apple processes transaction identifiers under Apple’s own privacy policy; please refer to Apple official privacy rules for payment data.
- 6.3 We only store simple subscription activation status locally to unlock premium functions, without receiving complete card information from Apple.
7. Third-Party Services
- 7.1 Embedded UI and purchase auxiliary SDKs run locally inside the App and will not independently collect your media data for advertising.
- 7.2 The App may link external pages including this privacy policy and terms page, which are governed by third-party websites’ own privacy rules.
- 7.3 Current version does not integrate Firebase, AppsFlyer, Meta/Facebook advertising SDKs. If third-party statistical/advertising tools are added later, this privacy policy will be updated in advance and comply with ATT framework.
- 7.4 Advertising ID will only be used for disclosed statistical purposes if you allow tracking permission.
